The
last edition of Europarket, which took place at Kortrijk Xpo in
March 2004, is still fresh in our minds. With its 208 exhibitors,
this total concept for the parquet flooring industry was able to
rely on the complete support of the European parquet flooring industry,
bringing together more than 6,000 professional visitors.
In
the meantime, we have been busy planning the next edition of Europarket,
which will take place on 23, 24 & 25 April 2006 in the MECC
Maastricht (the Netherlands). The sector has requested that Europarket
be held every two years, alternating between Belgium and the Netherlands.
This will allow Europarket to meet the demand for a single, specialised,
biennial event in Benelux, as well as ensure that investment in
the fair is (and remains) a wise decision. In addition, this guarantees
that the Dutch and Belgian markets are equally represented and that
we take advantage of any potential flow to our partner countries
Germany and France.
No
fancy marketing talk, just a proven return on investment!
No fewer than 200 exhibitors, spread over 9000 m², will be
waiting to welcome the professional visitors to Europarket 2006.
With its focus on wooden floors and related materials, this trade
fair is one of the leading events of its kind. Europarket aims to
do away with the concept of mega-fairs, where only a fraction of
what is on offer is of interest to the wooden floor specialist.
The strength of our concept is that supply and demand are perfectly
matched. As a result, the fair has experienced a spectacular rate
of growth (+ 68% in 2001 and +104% in 2004) since its inception
in 1999. In addition to a thorough specialisation of what is on
offer, the fair guarantees direct contacts and higher returns.
The
organisers of Europarket 2006 have reported that the launch of this
edition has already been quite successful. 'Today, only four weeks
after the launch, more than half of the floor plan for Europarket
2006 has already been booked. The number of international exhibitors,
which includes several market leaders, emphasises the fact that
Europarket has grown to become a major meeting place for specialists
from the parquet flooring sector.'
Clearly, the idea of creating a specialised, niche-market trade
fair continues to gain popularity, even when compared to the European
floor and building trade fairs.
Visitor-focused
For the coming edition, Europarket will primarily be focusing upon
attracting and accommodating (international) professional visitors.
Particular attention will go to setting up a permanent shuttle service
between the conference centre and various locations (the Maastricht
train station, Cologne airport, Liege train station, etc.). Taxi
routes will also be instated between the fair site and various hotels
in the area in order to make the visitor's stay in Maastricht as
pleasant as possible.
Visitors will receive advance notice about the various accommodation
and transport options and the fair organizers will provide internet
facilities, VIP lounges, arrangements, etc. in order to make the
organization of a visit to the fair as efficient as possible.
